I just don’t understand how hard it is to acknowledge someone who greets you. It’s not hard to say “hi,” I think its common courtesy to do so. So… everyday when I’m at work, I will count the number of greets and responses I would get.
64 – Greets
13 – No Response
That’s almost an 80% success rate! Pretty good day!
Those 13 non-greeters did the following:
- 1 guy looked at me and continued walking. I saw him again and asked him “are you finding everything alright?,” he looked and kept walking.
- 10 people just walked pass me.
- 2 people walked by me and moments later came back and ask me where some items were.
Maybe I shouldn’t greet, oh wait… Its part of my job.
