Todd, fresh from Ukiah, California moved to Portland, Oregon in search of a new life. He’s timid because Portland is a bigger city with lots of traffic, and has a more diverse population than he’s accustomed to. He needed a job so he applied to various places and the only call back he received was from a grocery store. Ecstatic about his new job, he was determined to make a lasting impression on his first day.
Newbie Courtesy Clerk: Hi! I’m Todd! I’m your new courtesy clerk.
Me: I’m Paul, nice too meet you… “My” courtesy clerk? This is your first day?
Newbie Courtesy Clerk: Yes! What am I suppose to do?
Trying to keep a straight face…
Me: Umm… I’m gonna need you to shake all the salad dressings on aisle 15.
With a confused look…
Newbie Courtesy Clerk: Shake them?
Me: Yeah, its best to grab each one by each hand and shake them at the same time…
Newbie Courtesy Clerk: I’ll get right on it!
About 45 minutes have gone by and I had forgot about our new courtesy clerk. My manager wanted to know where Todd went…
Me: Not sure, haven’t seen him in awhile.
She started to walk towards the aisles when I hear…
Manager: WHY ARE YOU SHAKING THE SALAD DRESSINGS!

AHAHAHAHAHAHA we just hired a bunch of noobs I have to try something like this
One of my front end managers did that to a very blonde, very gullible cashier on a slow day. It was hilarious!!!
If they question, tell them that they have to shake them because when the dressing settles, it can go bad.
LMAO. you are cruel.
