Some people just say whats on their mind. It’s like there’s no filter and it just comes out. I was stocking the Thanksgiving displays when I heard what it appears to be an old lady with a scratchy voice as if she had been a 5-pack a day smoker.

Looks like they have all you asians working today!

I said to myself asians? There’s only one.

I turned around to see who it was as she is loading her groceries into Rosendo’s line while courtesy clerk Oliver is ready to bag for him. Both had shocked expressions on their faces because they’re not asian, they’re hispanic. The only asian person was Hung who was in the checkstand behind them, who also had the look of awe.

I can tell Rosendo was checking as fast as he can and Oliver, if he were ever in a bagging competition he’d win 1st place. They just wanted to get her out. They were still polite about it but all I can say is, “Wow!”
