A customer looked lost in the aisles…
When he asked me where this product that I had never heard of was, he pronounced it in his Hispanic accent. Because of that, and the fact that I had never heard of it, I assumed it was something I could find in the Hispanic foods section. At the time, I was really into trying new foods, especially Hispanic foods. So, in attempt to impress this man with my new found food cultureness, I tried my best to pronounce “Ragolette” just as he pronounced it. I first took him to the Hispanic food section and looked around quietly murmuring “Ragolette, lets see.. where is the Ragolette” to myself, but loud enough that he could hear me. He eventually led me to the dried gravy packet section and we found it there. It turns out “Ragolette” was not Hispanic at all, it was just a regular type of American gravy, I was just ignorantly misled by my perception of his accent. So, not only did I lead this customer to the wrong place, but, I made a fool of myself while trying to roll my R’s, and probably made him think I was mocking his accent. Oh well, such is life I guess.

not to worry at all – his wife probably sent him to the store to get it. He had no idea where it was. I’m sure he was more than grateful for the assistance. I know I would be. – Dexter
Hahaha, if it’s not on the Taco Bell menu, it doesn’t exist!
You are doing your job, don’t worry.
I think Chris handled it just fine. I probably would’ve done the same thing.
