He seems incredibly sincere, really – although you can tell he is reading from a script [off to his right] and that is a bit disconcerting.

I believe in the power of prayer – be it happy thoughts, christian, muslim, wiccan, etc. – but I have never seen it happen instantaneously or in a grocery store.

If God will heal people for something as trivial as a hearing problem that’s already been fixed for the most part with hearing aids, why won’t he heal even slightly more serious problems that have also been prayed for? If God’s an almighty healer he should be able to do anything, which would include growing back the limbs of amputees. This guy is a liar and a scammer, anyone who believes what he says is a sheep.

Total flake, there is no god, something else was up.

I would never want to say that it wasn’t from the Lord, because He does move in mysterious ways. Only God knows if what this guy says is accurate or not. If anything, I would hope that this would cause people to put their faith in Jesus more! I know that when people listen to these types of testimonies, they get turned off because so many media Christians have been so corrupt. That’s why I say that only God knows.

not for me to say. But if this story influences anyone to forge a closer relationship with the God of their understanding, then it is good.

I don’t doubt it. We prayed for and saw a woman healed from AIDs and TB while we were in Africa–so I’ve seen it first hand, no joke. One of the most radical moments of my life. I have lots of friends who have witnessed healings. :)

How funny is it that he said he was preparing to defend himself when the carpal tunnel guy came up to him? Christianity fail!

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.”

I’m an atheist, and if something like this happened in my store I’d feel pretty awkward about it! I did once have a smelly homeless man stick his head in the door, yell “JESUS!” and leave. Also the other day, some guy buying gas said, “The lord be with you!” which I thought was pretty stupid because the christian god is supposed to be omnipresent in any case.
