For me, the most common one I ever heard was when an item would not ring up the customer would say something along the lines of “Look’s like it’s free!”

Its great to hear stories from readers who have been in the same situations. Makes me feel good that I’m not alone.
I used to work at a hardware store and when ever someone purchased anything with a final total of less than a dollar they would always say: “Big purchase of the day!”
